People for Environmental Action and Community Health (P.E.A.C.H.) is a Spokane non-profit that generates opportunities for low-income people to access local, sustainably produced food and to excel in agricultural careers. P.e.a.c.h. operates a 32-acre farm between Cheney and Spokane. They offer on-farm educational classes and workshops teaching farming, gardening and simple living skills. Much of the produce they grow is offered to low-income families at half the cost of comparable fresh, local, organic produce.
