Tall Grass Farms is a small 10 acre farm just outside of Medical Lake run by Scott and Nicki Farrell. They specialize in wonderful dahlias for local farmers markets and also offer U-cut at the farm for weddings, special occasions, or just because. Tall Grass Farms is open by appointment mid-summer to first frost. They also raise Scottish Highland cattle and are working towards expanding their many gardens to include a large selection of heirloom vegtables, wonderful berries and hopefully in a few years some fruit from the newly planted trees. They strive to use sustainable growing practices using organic fertilizers and loads of wonderful compost for the gardens. They also offer a large selection of vegetable starts in the spring with many unique heirloom starts. Dahlia tubers are available for those who would like to grow some wonderful dahlias of there own. They begin taking orders online in October and also sell some started dahlias in the spring at the farmers market.
